The Healers, Ministries of Christway's Children's Church

Found in the pages of history you will find an interesting, little known fact about the early Church of Jesus Christ. The believers who made up the early church we known as the “The Healers” by their non-believing neighbors and communities. When someone needed a miracle, “The Healers” were the ones that people turned to for help. How awesome is that?!

The Ministry of Christway’s Children’s Church is based upon the incident that happened between Jesus and the widow of Nain. As Jesus and his disciples were traveling they happened to come upon a funeral in process at the little town of Nain. When Jesus saw all the mourners and realized that the mother had already lost her husband and now her only son, he had compassion on her predicament. You see back in those days a widow with no sons meant that she had no means of support or any way to make a living. Jesus stopped the funeral procession, touched the hand of the dead son and made him alive again! The bible tells us that he gave the son back to his mother! Scripture records that everyone there was amazed at what he had done. They recognized God and began to praise him for his goodness.

It is our goal to teach and train the children of Christway to do the works that Jesus did. To be known by non-believers and our community as “the Healers” –bringing supernatural help to those in need.
Welcome to The Healers, the Ministries of Christway’s Children’s Church. We begin our service by joining our parents and other adults and young people in the main sanctuary for an awesome time of praise and worship. We are then dismissed to our own class, where, through fun games, object lessons and illustrated sermons we learn how to get to know Jesus on a personal level. It’s only as we develop a personal relationship with Jesus, that we can begin to do the things he wants us to do.
