I Believe…
May 31st, 2008I Believe…
That just because two people argue,
it doesn’t mean they don’t love each other.
And just because they don’t argue,
it doesn’t mean they do love each other.
I Believe…
That we don’t have to change friends if
we understand that friends change.
I Believe…
That no matter how good a friend is, they’re going to hurt
you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.
I Believe…
That true friendship continues to grow, even over
the longest distance. Same goes for true love.
I Believe…
That you can do something in an instant
that will give you heartache for life.
I Believe…
That it’s taking me a long time
to become the person I want to be.
I Believe..
That you should always leave loved ones with
loving words. It may be the last time you see them.
I Believe…
That you can keep going long after you think you can’t.
I Believe…
That we are responsible for what
we do, no matter how we feel.
I Believe…
That either you control your attitude or it controls you.
I ! Believe …
That heroes are the people who do what has to be done
when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.
I Believe…
That money is a lousy way of keeping score.
I Believe…
That my best friend and I, can do anything, or nothing and have the best time.
I Believe…
That sometimes the people you expect to kick you
when you’re down, will be the ones to help you get back up.
I Believe…
That sometimes when I’m angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn’t give me the right to be cruel.
I Believe…
That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you’ve had and what you’ve learned from them and less to do
with how many birthdays you’ve celebrated.
I Believe…
That it isn’t always enough, to be forgiven by others.
sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
I Believe..
That no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn’t stop for your grief.
I Believe…
That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are,
but, we are responsible for who we become.
I Believe…
That you shouldn’t be so eager to find
out a secret. It could change your life Forever.
I Believe…
Two people can look at the exact same
thing and see something totally different.
I Believe…
That your life can be changed in a matter of
hours by people who don’t even know you.
I Believe…
That even when you think you have no more to give, when
a friend cries out to you - you will find the strength to help.
I Believe…
That credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.
I Believe…
That the people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon.
I Believe…
The happiest of people don’t necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything.
And most important
I Believe…
Jesus saves.

Return of the WebMaster
April 9th, 2008For those of you that view this site on a regular basis, I am sure the lack of any updates for about a month have not gone un-noticed. Needless to say there has been stuff going on at ChristWay Church. I simply haven’t been around to get this information up on the web site. And for that I apologize, however the situations (yes there were multiple issues all at once) were all unavoidable and kept my attention focused on issues other than the ChristWay Website. Having said all of that I have again put my focus where it belongs under His training.
I have no announcements to speak of as I haven’t been to the office to get any updates. But that will happen soon.
I have no special news topics, poems from Sue or any other information.
What I do have is the following two items.
1) A quote from The Red Sea Rules: The Same God Who Led You In Will Lead You Out
First, He brought me here, it is by His will that I am in this strait place: in that fact I will rest.
Next, He will keep me here in His love, and give me grace to behave as His child.
Then, He will make the trial a blessing, teaching me the lessons He intends me to learn, and working in me the grace He means to bestow.
Last, in His good time He can bring me out again-how and when He knows.
Let me say I am here,
(1) By God’s appointment,
(2) In His keeping,
(3) Under His training,
(4) For His time.
2) The 2nd item I have was passed to me by a Member of ChristWay Church
Its a simple power point show that “should” run on any Microsoft operating system. (Windows98,XP,2K or Vista)
It is 3 1/4 megs in size and on a dial up modem should take around 5 - 20 min to download.
I hope you enjoy. And please stay tuned for more information as I get back in action here and on the CwcLateNight.org web sites .

35 Cents
February 19th, 2008A man in Topeka, Kansas decided to write a book about Churches around the country. He started by flying to San Francisco and started working east from there. Going to a very large church, he began taking photographs and making notes. He spotted a golden telephone on the vestibule wall and was intrigued with a sign, which read “Calls: $10,000 a minute.” Seeking out the pastor he asked about the phone and the sign. The pastor answered that this golden phone is, in fact, a direct line to heaven and if he pays the price he can talk directly to God.
The man thanked the pastor and continued on his way. As he continued to visit churches in Seattle, Dallas, St. Louis, Chicago, Milwaukee, and around the United States, he found more phones, with the same sign, and the same answer from each pastor. Finally, he arrived in Louisiana. Upon entering a church in DeRidder he saw the usual golden telephone, but THIS time, the sign read “Calls 35 cents.” Fascinated, he asked to talk to the pastor, and as luck would have it, Pastor Smith was available. “Pastor Smith, I have been in cities all across the country and in each church I have found this golden telephone and have been told it is a direct line to Heaven and that I could talk to God, but in the other churches the cost was $10,000 a minute. Your sign reads only 35 cents a call. Why? The pastor, smiling benignly, replied:
“Son, you’re in Louisiana now, home of the LSU Tigers, Community Coffee and the best cooking this side of heaven. You’re IN God’s Country. It’s a local call.”
